ENGLAND V USA IN WOMEN"S PAIRS FINAL

England's Trina Gulliver and Clare Bywaters will play USA's Stacy Bromberg and Marilyn Plopp in the final of the World Cup Women's Pairs. All countries played in a round robin to make the final sixteen pairs to advance towards the finals.

The last 16 Results saw England, Norway, Australia, Scotland and the USA victorious and to move into the quarter finals. In those quarter finals:
England defeated Norway 4 - 0
Canada defeated Australia 4 - 1
Scotland defeated New Zealand 4 - 0
USA defeating Germany 4 - 0

England came through a tough match with Canada (Kim Whaley and Robin Curry) winning 4 - 3 while the USA taking care of Scotland's Anne Kirk and Louise Hepburn 4 - 1 to make the final.
