Sensation at the 2003 Southern Highlands Classic
BarryBarry Jouannet (left) threw the perfect 9-dart game - 180, 180, T20-T15-D18 at the 2003 Southern Highlands Classic. The unfortunate player to feel the sting of Barry’s darts was David Rofe who had only thrown six darts and still had 402 left on the board. Congratulations Barry on brilliant performance.

Not one, but two 170 pegout by the age of 12 years.
Mitchell CleggMitchell Clegg from New South Wales was fortunate enough to have hit a 170 peg in a senior tournament. Mitchell, who at the age of 12 practices continuously, and sees darts as his passion. He has just been selected for the 2004 NSW Junior State Team for the second year and maintains a high level of commitment to the game.

Mitchell recently attended the 2003 NSW Open on the 12th and 13th of
September where he secured 3rd position in the minor section. During the semi final series, he has once again hit a 170 peg. This feat is difficult enough once, but twice and at the tender age of 12. The Guinness Book of Records and have been informed that he qualifies for an entry. He is currently seen as the youngest in the World to have achieved this feat (11year 10 months).

9-darter at the Rockingham Classic
Johnny RoddThe fields at the Rockingham Classic may not have been large, but the quality of competitor and standard of play was outstanding. The most outstanding peace of play for the day with out doubt was performed by John Rodd (pictured right) in his game against Cyril Councillor. John threw the perfect leg of darts – a 9-darter. He hit the two 180’s with his first two walks, and then hit 60, 45, and double 18 to clinch the perfect leg. (You often hear 180’s don’t win games. Either do 9-darters as John lost this game to Cyril) Congratulations of the perfect leg of darts.
