French Open LogoTONY DAVID WINS 2003 FRENCH OPEN

All of Australia’s World Cup Team apart from Tracey James participated in 17th running of the BULLS French Open on Sunday 28th of September.

All events was singles competition with the Men’s Singles Champion winning 2000€, Ladies Singles Champion 800€ and Youth Singles 150€.

Details are a little sketchy at this stage due to lateness of this event finishing, (after midnight), but Australia’s Tony David came through to win the event.

Apparently the event was a bit of a shambles with errors made in the draws and players being re entered after loses.

Tony must have played brilliant darts to win with the best players from all over the world in Epinal France for this event as it followed the XIV World Cup. In the final Tony defeated from Scotland’s Bill Davis 5 – 4. Not much more detail is available at this stage. Tony David

Tony Fleet played well but was defeated 3 –1 by Raymond Barneveld. Justin Thompson lost in the 3rd round as did Steve Duke to George Walls from the USA. Natalie Carter was defeated in the second round.
